PORTSMOUTH insist they are on course to move to a new stadium despite reports they have failed in a bid for one potential site.
The club hope to leave Fratton Park within two years and plan to make a statement on the issue next month.
Chief executive Peter Storrie denied reports the club had been blocked in a bid for a playing fields site in Cosham by the local council. He said: "There is no truth in it whatsoever and to be honest I am fed up with hearing such garbage.
"Of course we have had talks with the council but we have certainly not approached or applied to anyone over any one site.
"The stadium is something I and my assembled team have been working on daily and the club is still confident of making a concrete statement in June," he told the club's official website.
