ALL eyes will be on Hordle Cliff and Hurst Castle this weekend where the Lymington club stage their Spring Open shore competition on Saturday evening with fishing from 7pm to midnight.
With a £200 top prize on offer, the event looks set to attract a good turnout with competitors expected to target rays, smoothhound and dogfish from the Hordle section while pout, silver eels and bass should figure from the Hurst Castle section.
The event, which also doubles up as a Penn Points fixture, has a £7 price tag plus pools and a two-man team event. Tickets for juniors, who will have their own prizes, have been set at just £3.
Booking in gets under way at the Needles Eye cafe from 5pm. Competitors should note that the event will be fished on a flood tide, making conditions difficult along the Milford Shingle bank.
