SOUTH coast agency CHS Creative is set to give a boost to Southampton company Screenco, which supplied TV show Pop Idol with audiovisual equipment.

Screenco, a subsidiary of the Avesco Group, supplies large LED screens to the entertainment industry.

CHS Creative had been originally commissioned by Screenco to re-design its website.

Founded in 1985, Screenco leads the market for rental of giant video screens world-wide.

Among its portfolio of projects are the Top of the Pops Awards and The Saturday Show.

Use of LED screens in television production has been growing in recent years and Screenco has been extremely busy, applying its expertise in the television studio and outside broadcast environments.

Christchurch-based CHS has a 30-year creative history, providing marketing services for national and international companies such as Barclaycard, Lakeland and the RNLI.

CHS creative director Steve Keats said: "We are delighted to have won the Screenco account as it gives us a great opportunity to leverage our in-house expertise on behalf of a local company."
