ENVIRONMENTAL campaigners urged motorists to boycott a Romsey garage as part of a national day of protests at the weekend.
They gathered outside Esso in Greatbridge Road on Saturday as part of a campaign by green groups against the corporation.
Critics claim the company does not invest enough in renewable energy or support environmental initiatives.
Elaine Ewens, from Friends of the Earth, said: "Romsey is no exception when it comes to the effects of global warming, a process caused by the build-up of gases generated by human activities.
"The town is already prone to flooding and this can only get worse as the Earth becomes warmer and there is an increase in the number of extreme weather events."
