A Thai woman who prompted a police inquiry after disappearing from her Stubbington home has rung her worried fianc to tell him she is fine.
Rungnapna Namthong was last seen on Saturday afternoon by her partner Mark Tampling at their home in Mayflower Close.
Mr Tampling immediately alerted police, who launched a missing person inquiry in a bid to trace the 33-year-old.
However, Insp Steve Havis, of Park Gate police, confirmed that Miss Namthong has been in contact.
He said: "We are less concerned for her safety and welfare because she has called her fianc twice to let him know she is okay.
"We still do not know her whereabouts so officially it is still a missing person inquiry and we will continue to monitor the situation."
