BRAMSHAW motor-racer Malcolm Cook has EuroCup glory on his mind as he heads for the Grand Prix circuit at Spa Francochamps this weekend.

The 48-year-old aircraft stress analyst is expected to be one of the frontrunners in the first round of the Autosport Caterham Eurocup at the awe-inspiring Belgian circuit on Sunday.

Cook finished fourth overall in the EuroCup last year after a string of top six places.

Motor racing runs in the Cook family. He has been racing Caterhams for six years and his wife Angela drove in the Caterham Scholarship in 1997.

The ten-round EuroCup series takes in some great motor racing venues like Zandvoort, Dijon, Nurburgring and Brands Hatch.

Cook will be hoping to upstage a quality field which includes reigning Caterham Superlight champion Chris Cooper from Kings Langley and Barry Horne from Dunfermline who currently leads the Superlight Challenge.
