HARRIET Costello School has won a nationwide competition run by the website EverythingEducation.
The Basingstoke school was automatically entered for a prize draw after visiting the site, which aims to bring schools and businesses together.
Its prize was a DIY website software package called NetStart and a security software program called MadeSafe, which isn't available in the shops until June.
Dave Miles, marketing director of Solarsoft, and Lynne Harr-adine, account manager of EverythingEducation, presented the prizes to Harriet Costello School earlier this month.
Chris Fleming, deputy head at Harriet Costello, said: "We're extremely pleased at receiving these very useful software packages.
"The website design package will be extremely beneficial to our students when we move to technology college status in September."
