AGE Concern introduced a new toe-nail clipping service for elderly Basingstoke residents.
The charity is employing trained chiropodist Mary Barker to provide a professional toenail cutting and chiropody advice service.
Community services co-ordinator, Amanda Forsythe said: "It can be quite dangerous for old people to cut their own toenails. Other Age Conerns around the country already offer toenail cutting services and it is extremely popular. In Andover they are booked up six to eight weeks in advance."
The service will be available once or twice a month in Carnival Hall, depending on demand. To book an appointment, call Amanda on 01256 479285.
Age Concern is also looking for new volunteers to help out with activities and summer excursions.
