A HALF-CENTURY by Chris Benham and a four-wicket return by Irfan Shah set up a 73-run win for the Hampshire Academy XI against Southern Electric Premier League Division 2 rivals Winchester KS at River Park.
Second-wicket pair Benham (57) and 15-year old Peter Hammond (48) laid the foundations for Hampshire's 188-9.
Winchester began positively but from 53-0 plunged to 115 all out, with Shah taking 4-33 and Dave Griffiths and James Manning two wickets each.
Easton & Martyr Worthy and United Services have also won their opening two games.

Western Australian prospect Aaron Heal hit 108 and shared a century-plus second-wicket stand with Daniel Peacock (66) as Lymington beat Old Tauntonians by 58 runs.
Charlie Forward hit 61 for Ots, but a nap hand haul by former Bramshaw all-rounder Mike West (5-40), and Heal's three-wicket return sent the visitors slipping from 168-5 to 211all out.
