Juan Martin, Turner Sims Concert Hall, Southampton, May 16
Never mind Ricky Martin - when it comes to hot Spanish passion, Juan's your man.
Juan Martin is one of the most acclaimed Spanish guitarists in the world, and brings his flair for flamenco to the Turner Sims on Thursday.
Having grown up in Andalucia, the very heart of flamenco country, there's no doubting his credentials.
After his early years in Malaga, his most crucial musical experiences were in Madrid, where he met flamenco master Paco de Luca.
He has now earned an international reputation as a phenomenal guitar-player, and was even voted one of the top three guitarists in the world by an American guitar magazine.
His passionate playing style creates an emotional intensity and incorporates complex cross-rhythms and rumbas.
In the concert, Juan will be joined on stage by dancers El Tigre and Raquel De Luna and gypsy singer Antonio Aparecida.
Performance: 8pm. Tickets: from £8. Box office: 023 8059 5151.
