ANDOVER'S Olympic judo silver medallist Kate Howey is hoping the plaster will be coming off her broken wrist in just over a week's time allowing her to resume preparations for the Commonwealth Games in Manchester at the end of July.
The sportswoman suffered the fracture to her right wrist during competition at the British open championships at the end of last month.
A member of the family said Kate was back at university in Bath and visiting the gym. "She's feeling very good. The wrist is not so painful."
