THE traditional May Fair at Hurstbourne Priors didn't disappoint this Bank Holiday weekend, despite the threat of rain hanging over the event.
One of the principal attractions was a jousting display by the Society of Creative Anachronism which drew the crowds, but there was also the trusty bouncy castle and side stalls for an afternoon of entertainment.
Proceeds from the day will go towards St Andrew's Church, the village hall and the recreation ground.
MP Sir George Young was there and was pleased the fair gave visitors the chance to see the recent refurbishment work on the village hall and cricket pavilion.
