THE Isle of Wight branches of the Royal British Legion are to stage a special military tattoo at Carisbrooke Castle on June 2 to commemorate the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
Ex-service groups, cadet forces and other organisations will be taking part in the event, which will feature a Drumhead service as well as the tattoo.
An estimated 1,000 people are due to take part, and the celebration will culminate with a pyrotechnical tribute to the War of the Worlds. The Drumhead service begins at 3pm followed by the tattoo at 5.30pm.
