BROUGHTON Youth teams recently entertained Lyndhurst in an end-of-season series of challenge matches for the 'No Fear' Trophy.
The trophy was donated by Trevor and Anita Draycott in memory of their son Steven, a former youth team player, who tragically lost his life in a road traffic accident.
Five games between youth teams and a parents team were played followed by a barbecue and club presentation evening.
Sponsored by The Mayfly pub at Chilbolton and Scrybwell Specialist Engravers of Nether Wallop, Lyndhurst emerged as narrow but deserved winners.
Broughton Youth hopes to enhance its reputation as a successful, friendly and well established village club by running several teams from under-9's through to under-13's next season.
Anyone interested in playing or coaching next year please contact the club secretary Steve France-Sargeant on 01794 301200.
