YOUNG Southampton squash players are enjoying the benefits of a National Lottery pay out.
Connor's Junior Squash Club at West End has been awarded £4,832 for state-of-the-art equipment, top level coaching and extra court time.
The facility, which is based at Hampshire cricket's new Rose Bowl ground, is already attracting more than 30 juniors to its regular Saturday morning sessions.
Junior coach Brian Ward said: "Our aim is to turn this excellent facility into a Centre of Excellence for squash."
The Connor's club has three courts with moveable interior walls, allowing them to be turned into full-size doubles areas.
