Winchester's Kings School and small Portsmouth-based Springhill School will fly the Hampshire flag proudly as they take their place in the Zurich/Daily Telegraph Emerging Schools Rugby Festival finals at Richmond and Staines Rugby Clubs tomorrow morning.
The pair, who came through the intensive county qualifying competition, will battle it out with 48 other schools from around England for the chance to play at Twickenham before and during half-time in the Royal Navy v Army Inter Services clash - in front of some 40,000 spectators.
The eight pool winners from both competitions will descend on rugby's headquarters, while the two winners will wear Army red and Navy blue to gain the support of the partisan crowd.
County rugby development officer Ivan Torpey hopes our representatives can do well. "It will be an experience for all these boys and girls to play at Staines and Richmond, and to aim for Twickenham."
Just one league game in the whole of the London & South East region remained, with Division Four South-West champions Richmond due to tackle relegated Farnborough.
But, once again, the Hampshire side have withdrawn and may receive their marching orders and expulsion from the league for their third cancellation of a league fixture this season.
Hampshire's successful Under-15 side will be part of a Commonwealth Games trail run tournament in Manchester over the bank holiday weekend.
The organisers of the Games will test travel arrangements and ground facilities ahead of the two-week sporting event in late July and early August, using county sides from all over the county as "guinea-pigs".
