ELEVEN-year-old Jamie O'Donnell shone for Fareham Nomads at the Jean Hillman Memorial Trophy gala which was staged at Fareham Leisure Centre.
The youngster chalked up three wins in the under-11 age group, securing the 50m backstroke (37.42sec), 50m breaststroke (43.16) and the 50m freestyle (32.54).
With the Nomads fielding two teams, it gave the opportunity for many of the younger members to compete for the club. Neither team were at full strength which made for a very entertaining gala.
From the early stages of the competition it was soon evident that the eventual outcome would be between the hosts and Bournemouth Dolphins, between them they won 41 of the 43 events.
Bournemouth came out on top by 18 points ahead of the hosts in the seven team gala.
Nomads' first individual winner was Katherine Freemantle in the under-12 50m backstroke recording a time of 36.63. She later went on to win the 50m freestyle in a time of 33.12.
There were further wins from Thomas Peddell (under-11 50m butterfly, 39.48); Stuart Wass (under-12 50m freestyle, 30.31); Rachel Wass (under-11 50m backstroke 42.16) and Sarah Weston (under-10 25m butterfly, 17.58).
Between them the two teams achieved a total of 14 personal best times.
Results: Bournemouth 276; Fareham Nomads 258; Hamble 189; Basingstoke A 148; Fareham Nomads II 142; Andover 122 and Basingstoke B 31.
