POLICE are hunting a man who launched an apparently unprovoked attack on a member of staff at the Bengal takeaway in Winchester Street, Andover.
The assault happened between 11.30pm and 11.40pm on Tuesday when a man entered the premises, leapt over the counter and head-butted the staff member.
He was followed in by two other men, although police say that they took no part in the attack. Pc Ted Reynolds said the man is described as being white, aged 25 to 30, with short cropped hair.
He was also wearing a shirt and jeans. There appeared to be no motive for the attack
