TALENTED teenagers Vickie Rayment and Andrea Ware will be performing before an audience of hundreds of thousands of people this summer.
The 16-year-olds will be among scores of young people from across the country forming a gospel choir at the Golden Jubilee celebrations at Buckingham Palace in June.
Up to 400,000 people are expected to turn out to watch the day.
Vickie, of Jessamine Road, Shirley, Southampton, and Andrea, from Romsey, will be joined by pals from the Southampton branch of Stage-coach performing arts group.
Youngsters from other Hampshire branches will also be taking part in the event.
Vickie said: "We played at the Afghan Aid concert at the Royal Albert Hall in March and the man who is organising the Golden Jubilee celebrations at Buckingham Palace was there and asked us to perform at that.
"Everyone is really excited about performing there and we can't wait.
"We both want to go on to do performing arts at college and hopefully continue to do the sort of thing we are doing now."
