WORK on replacing troublesome special-effect stones on Hamble foreshore's southern quay is due to last no longer than eight weeks, weather permitting, the parish council has been told.
Councillors agreed to have the stones re-laid because they kept coming loose and every time the council thought it had the problem licked it had to start all over again.
Now, developers' contributions are helping to finance the work which started on April 9.
