WEST of England under-16 cricketer Mitchell Stokes hit an unbeaten innings of 129 on Saturday to help Basingstoke and North Hants to a 104-run victory over visitors Shepperton.
The youngster hit 22 fours and one six in his 81-ball innings before retiring, his century coming off 66 balls in 71 minutes.
He had valuable support from Andy Neal, whose 91 included 15 fours after a 53-ball half-century.
Daniel Leese chipped in with 46 not out to enable a home declaration at 279-2 in the 44th over.
The wickets were shared around as Shepperton were dismissed for 175 in 52 overs.
