ANDOVER Round Table has a new chairman.
Mark Bladen took over the role from Nigel Baxendale at the annual meeting of Andover Round Table, setting out his plans for the year ahead.
"We are keen to attract up to 10 new members this year and would welcome inquiries from young men in the Andover area," said Mark.
"The club offers a great social outlet for both Tablers and their wives as well as being a medium for personal development.
"The reason I was attracted to Round Table was that it gave me the opportunity to associate with professional people from all walks of life.
"I read once that personal development is 50 per cent down to the books that you read and 50 per cent down to the people that you associate with. Within Andover Round Table you will find professionals from many business sectors.
Round Table is well known through its work in the community and its most notable achievements in Andover include the Andover Carnival, the annual fireworks display (in conjunction with Andover Rotary) and Santa's Sleigh.
"We are extremely proud of the role that Round Table plays in Andover.
"It gives us a real sense of achievement, whether we are raising funds for local charities or helping out in the community. And at the same time we have great fun all working together."
