THE Grapevine Community Centre at Perham Down has undergone a makeover thanks to staff at Wilkinson.
A team of volunteers from the Bridge Street store painted the reception area of the centre, toilets and administration areas as part of its Helping Hand scheme.
Wilkinson also donated more than 70 litres of paint as well as bathroom accessories, DIY tools, pictures and dried flowers to brighten up the well-used centre.
Wilkinson branch manager Matt Main said: "We have some willing volunteers who are working alongside those from the community centre, who have already done a great job in transforming rooms for a mother and toddler group."
Major Allan Taylor, who runs the centre, added: "Everyone will benefit from this and we're very pleased with the work."
The donation was part of the Helping Hands scheme set up by the store to mark its reopening today after being damaged following a fire in the building above. The store is offering £1,000 worth of products to community groups, charities and initiatives to help with a project or event.
Staff at the store thanked everyone who responded to their appeal.
There has been a fantastic response and people will be contacted shortly.
The store hopes to help as many people as possible.
