THE FA cup arrived in Basingstoke last week .
But there were no open-top bus parades as Town missed out this year in the fourth qualifying round.
The cup arrived through AA marketing employee Vicky Seabrooke, 24, who won the right to keep it for a day in a general knowledge quiz.
Her colleagues queued up on Wednesday to have their photos taken with the cup, paying £5 for the privilege, which went towards the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.
Two Wellington United fans travelled down from Mitchum especially to glimpse the cup, while Chelsea fan and AA press officer,Steve Upsher was hoping he will get another glimpse of it when his team plays Arsenal in the final next month.
"I was at the semi-final and hopefully I will be able to get to the final as well," he said.
The youngest person to see the cup, was four-week-old Sophie Traynor, dressed in the colours of her dad's favourite team, Arsenal.
