POLICE were today investigating the theft of £150,000 worth of brand new Range Rovers from Southampton docks.
The three left-hand-drive vehicles, worth around £50,000 each, vanished between 5pm and 11.30pm last night.
Detectives said the thieves cut down two trees to gain access to a locked compound at dock gate four in Platform Road.
Wire fencing was also removed before the three Range Rovers, one blue and two black, were stolen. Police said the vehicles had been lined-up ready for export. Call PC Keith Bailey at Southampton Central CID on 0845 045 4545.
