A HAMPSHIRE laundry worker has been jailed for three years for helping dispose of a woman's body.
Jayendra Patel, 37, of The Marsh in Hythe, admitted aiding murderer Dilip Patel to dump the body of his ex-wife Chadrika in a field in Lancashire.
Preston Crown Court accepted that Jayendra Patel had not been involved in the killing.
Dilip Patel of Wembley, London, was jailed for life after admitting murder. He killed his ex-wife in London in November 2000 because he saw her as an obstacle to his future happiness.
He then drove 200 miles to Lancashire with Jayendra Patel where they disposed of the body.
They wrapped her half-naked body in bin bags and left it in a field. It was discovered a month later by walkers and was only identified through dental records.
