A perfect run for two competitors in the Royal Southampton Yacht Club's Spring series continued on Sunday as Mike Garvey's X-Parrot and Andrew Percival in Big Boys Toys took honours for the fourth consecutive race.
In light westerly breezes, increasing to around nine knots, Garvey won IRC Class 1 by more than four minutes on corrected time from Ben James's H-Boat Badger, with Andrew Tregoning's Fixation third.
Class 3 was dominated by Percival's Hunter 707 who took line honours and corrected time victory by over 1min 45sec from Sigma 33 Iskareen (Michael Perrin), with Jonathan Meeson's Trapper 250 Fantastic Mr Fox third.
A 15-minute postponement allowed the multihull class to get under way first at 1025 in four knots of breeze. Dragonfly Scooby III went on to win by 33 seconds on corrected time from sistership Triple Dutch. After four races, X-Parrot and Big Boys Toys have perfect scores of four wins each.
