ISLE OF Wight showbiz writer and broadcaster John Hannam is to stage a special live chat show on his 30 years of interviewing famous people, to be held at Quay Arts, Newport, on April 29.
Hannam is putting on the show in the arts centre's Anthony Minghella Theatre, to raise funds for the Liz Dawn Breast Cancer Appeal Fund.
He interviewed Coronation Street actress Liz Dawn, better known as Vera Duckworth, and many other Street stars when he spent time at the Granada Studios last year.
During his years contributing interviews to The Stage publication, various Isle of Wight newspapers, and Isle of Wight Radio, he reckons to have interviewed more than 2,000 famous people.
Top names he has interviewed, include Jeremy Irons, Charlton Heston, Sir John Mills, Bruce Forsyth, Sir Norman Wisdom, Victoria Wood, Ken Dodd and Sir Cliff Richard. Tickets for An Evening with John Hannam can be obtained from Quay Arts by ringing 01983 528825.
