AT long last, Whitchurch are back on the goal trail. They finally ended their seven-game goal drought on Tuesday night in the JWL with strikers from Paul Rolfe and Neil Butler - their first in over 12 hours of play.
Trailing 1'-0 at half time, Whitchurch bounced back to take the lead in the second half with goals from midfielder Rolfe and striker Butler only for Bmerton to snatch a point with an own goal from Mark Rees in the 80th minute.
Whitchurch (4-4-2): Smalley; Lonnon, Shaughnessy, Robinson, Caswell; Rolfe, McNulty, O'Riordan, Nurse; Somers, Butler. Subs: Rees (for O'Riordan 55 mins), Hack (not use).

Whitchurch came closest yet to ending their sorry run of defeats in the JWL last Saturday but ended up pointless yet again. "We should have got something out of the game," said disppointed Andover-based assistant manager Graham Knight.
Cowes stole the points with a goal from a 20th minute breakaway but Whitchurch, who have failed to find the back of the net in their last six matches, should have gone in at half time at least on level terms with John Berglin thundering a 25-yarder against the woodwork and in the second half were denied a clear cut penalty after Mario Nurse was pulled back in the area.
Nurse had also gone close with an overhead kick in the first half and the impressive Nurse also carved out another opening for Brian Drury's side but there was no-one in the box to add the finishing touch.
Whitchurch had Darren Maunder making his debut in goal for the injured Carl Clayton after signing from county league side Tadley Town in midweek, and Knight said that he did very well and did not look out of place playing in the JWL.
Whitchurch (4-4-2): Maunder; Lonnon, Robinson, Shaughnessy, Knight; Rees, McNulty, O'Riordan, Nurse; Berglin, Caswell. Subs: Somers (for O'Riordan 70 mins), Restell, Hack (not used).
