Graham Tappenden was a clear winner of the second round of the Nigel Turner/Thompsons Financial Planning Series on Lord Romsey's prolific Longbridge Lakes.
The Homestores Select angler took 106lb 11oz to the scales despite the bright but very cold weather conditions with a biting easterly wind.
Fishing peg six, Tappenden took 15 carp on pole and corn to easily hold off Paul Shepherd who took carp on the method feeder fishing peg 21 for 80lb 1oz.
Wendy Halliday (Wimborne) showed the men how it's done, again coming third with a cracking bag including three carp weighing 20lb, 16lb and 13lb off peg 13 on pole and worm for a 69lb total.
Others: Nigel Fitzgerald 52lb 7oz, Ray Hayward 50lb, Chucky Hambridge 48lb 6oz and Dave Hambridge 46lb 6oz.
Thirty-nine anglers fished for a total of 981lb. Tappenden goes through to the September final.

The final of the Reelcare Series on Longbridge saw outsider Dave Rickwood win with an early morning frost putting pay to any huge weights.
Rickwood, fishing peg 11, caught from the off, fishing long pole close to the island for 72lb 8oz, closely followed by Steve Pomery, fishing peg 27, who included eight carp for 65lb 1oz in his 71lb 6oz bag.
Neil Tappin, fishing peg 24, took a good bag of carp and skimmers for 70lb 12oz, with Lee Woodhouse (Carbotech Select) fourth on peg 23 with a good mixed bag of skimmers, roach and carp on the pole for 65lb 15oz.
Others: Speed Andrews 42lb 2oz, Dave Pool 41lb 9oz, Chalky White 34lb 7oz. Prizemoney: Dave Rickwood £600, Steve Pomery £400, Neil Tappin £200, Lee Woodhouse £100.
bullet/> Cormorants held a sweepstakes match on the canal at Longbridge which saw Steve Rochester (Sillybaits), win outright after taking 45lb 9oz on the pole off peg 37.
Fishing to the far bank, Simon Hambridge (Dynamite Baits) was second with 20lb 13oz from peg 40 also on pole to the far bank. Graham Collins (Cormorants) was third with 13lb 2oz from peg 39 on the waggler and corn.
bullet/> The Wytherington Open saw John Gray (Pewsey Reids Tackle) take 26lb 6oz of small carp on pellet and worm to win from Les Thirlaway (Andover) with 19lb 10oz, Bob Whackerill (Pewsey Avon Angling) and James Knight (Reids Tackle) with 11lb 12oz.
bullet/> TVAC held a club match on Nutsey which saw Darren Stride take 11 tench to 6lb for a winning bag of 53lb 12oz on maggot and waggler. Gary Wright came second with 52lb 7oz of tench, Alan Hillman 44lb 3oz third, Gordon Warner fourth with 39lb 5oz, Mick Small fifth on 39lb 1oz and Rob Hendry sixth with 31lb 13oz.
