FAMILY support group Home-Start Eastleigh is hoping that the community will come out in force to support its 1960s fundraising evening.
Peter Pod and the Peas will be taking centre stage at the Eastleigh Railway Institute on Friday April 19.
There are still a few tickets available from the Home-Start office in Romsey Road or the Railway Institute. Alternatively, call 023 8061 2310.
Admission will also be accepted on the night for people wishing to pay at the door.
Home-Start Eastleigh has supported 166 local families during the last year and needs to increase its income to meet demand.
A variety of social and fundraising events are planned, including a buffet evening at Kuti's Brasserie in June, an open air summer fayre at the Leigh Road Bandstand in July and a celebrity auction in January.
Home-Start is always on the lookout for new volunteers and information packs are available by calling its office on 023 8061 2310.
Prospective volunteers need to be parents or have parenting experience, and be able to offer two to three hours each week to a local family by offering a
listening ear, friendship, support and practical help.
All volunteers are police-checked and references are always taken up.
