BASINGSTOKE Bison duo Mike Ellis and Neil Liddiard were in action last night for Great Britain as they opened their latest bid to join the top division of the world championship in Hungary.
Also included in the 23-strong squad are three former Bison players, Rick Strachan, Joe Watkins and Darren Hurley.
Great Britain opened their campaign against Denmark and tonight face the hosts Hungary in a game which starts at 8pm.
On Wednesday afternoon (4.30pm) they come up against Romania before, on Friday lunchtime, playing China, whom they beat last year 12-2.
Their final game is on Saturday which could be a crunch game against favourites Norway.
With only one team promoted, Great Britain cannot afford to slip up in any game and will look to put behind last season's heartache which saw them miss out on promotion on goal difference.
