ALL 30 wards in the borough of Basingstoke and Deane are being contested in the local elections and a number of candidates are standing for the four seats in Overton and Whit-church.
The election comes about because of the borough's full boundary review which means all 60 seats are being contested.
Six nominations have been made for the two seats in Whitchurch, currently held by Liberal Democrat councillors Gill Nethercott and Alison Wall.
Both Gill Nethercott and Alison Wall are standing for re-election. Two Conservative Party candidates, town councillor Therese Anne Coffey and Lucinda Mary Henzell-Thomas have been nominated, as have Labour Party candidates Pauline Mary Courtenay and Patricia Dorothy Turner Wickremeratne.
Eight candidates are standing for the two available seats in the Overton, Laverstoke and Steventon ward currently held by Liberal Democrat councillors Derick Mirfin and Paula Baker.
Town councillor Paula Baker is standing for re- election and is joined in the nominations by fellow Liberal Democrat candidate and chairman of Overton Parish Council Lucy Sloane Williams.
The two Independent candidates are Stanley Bray and parish councillor Ian Keith Tilbury and the two Conservative Party candidates are Melvin James Byles and Christopher Harold Van Der Noot. The Labour Party candidates are David Paul Cavanagh and Elizabeth Aysha Freemantle.
The local elections take place on 2 May.
