BARTON PEVERIL College's boys'hockey team recently took top honours in the Hampshire Sixth Form College's Cup after beating Havant 3-1 in the final of the com-petition.
The Eastleigh lads were particularly thrilled to beat the Havant side who have several premier league players in their squad.
Peveril's scorers were Max Williams, James Taylor and Jasdeep Singh Sohal.
On their way to the title, the Peveril team beat local colleges Itchen 3-0 and Totton 1-0.
After their victory, team captain Alex Bennett (ex Thornden School) said: "This was a very sat-isfying win. The team played well together with great spirit and are all proud to play for Barton Peveril. I would like to thank Resh Bukory our coach for his supportand encouragement.
"We are now focussing on the league and hope to continue our success there."
