REGULARS popping in for their usual at an Eastleigh pub were surprised to find their local with a completely new interior.
The Home Tavern, on the corner of Leigh Road and Southampton Road, has spent £80,000 on a new lick of paint, extra sofas in the conservatory, new toilets, a new music system, satellite TV to show football matches and a new menu.
Manager Trevor Chandler said: "I'm delighted with the way the pub looks, and our customers feel the same. The refurbishment makes such a difference to the pub, which is more bright and airy than it was before.
"We have added some sofas to give it a more relaxed feeling, which seems to have worked.
"We had a really busy weekend and I'm confident that this is just the taste of things to come.
"I want to make the Home Tavern the best pub in the area."
