RAILWAY enthusiasts caught a glimpse of one of the world's most famous steam locomotives when it made a brief visit to Southampton.
The Flying Scotsman pulled the exotic Orient Express into the city as part of a national tour of the UK.
About 20 people of all ages gathered by the railway track in Canute Road to enjoy the spectacle as they pulled in towards dock gate Four.
The Flying Scotsman, built in the 1920s, was lovingly restored at a cost of nearly £2m in the 1990s.
