Acting on behalf of Prologis, joint agents Young & Butt and Vail Williams have successfully sold Building 2200 at Midpoint 27 in one of the primary industrial locations along the M27 at Segensworth.

The purpose-built unit totals approximately 21,625 sq ft and was sold to Woolston-based Siva Holdings, which has acquired the unit for a new company which will be known as Speciality Flexibles.

Senior director Matthew Small of Young & Butt said: "Demand for freehold units remains strong as business can readily appreciate the excellent value a freehold property offers with such competitive rates of interest around at the moment." He added: "It's a shame we simply cannot match the demand in all size ranges."

Siva Holdings financial director Babna Athwal saw this as a good opportunity and jumped at the chance to purchase this industrial property.

"We have been searching for some while for a modern building, and in moving to Segensworth, the new company will be able to attract good staff and readily service the new client base." Speciality Flexibles is geared towards printing both food and non-food flexible packaging using state-of-the-art equipment, as Mr Athwal explained.

"This is a specialist business where quality and hygiene are of paramount importance. We had to locate a new building to satisfy our requirements and Segensworth was on our shortlist of modern industrial areas."
