Hamble's long wait for a Jewson Wessex League goal is over - a mere 9 hours 55 minutes after their last strike...on February 2 !
The Planemakers seemed destined to never score again going seven league matches without hitting the target since a 4-3 defeat at Downton in early February.
But Louis Langdown, scorer of Hamble's third and last goal at Downton, ended the two-month long drought with a 50th-minute equaliser against Blackfield & Langley at Folland Park.
More importantly, Langdown's goal earned Hamble a crucial relegation point - and cut Swanage Town & Herston's advantage at the bottom to a mere two points.
Swanage, with a goal deficit of 120, lost 1-0 at home to AFC Newbury.
But Hamble's goal-starved players, didn't overdo the celebrations after Langdown had scored.
"I don't think they realised the significance of Louis' equaliser," said Hamble secretary Matthew Newbold, who felt that the Planemakers had chances to win the game late on.
"When our forwards get the ball in front of goal, they don't seem to know quite what to do," he added.
