Woolston Methodist Hall April 11 to 13
Mystery and murder most horrible come to Woolston next week courtesy of the Dalian Players.
This amateur group are performing Deadly Nightcap, a thriller by a master of the genre, Francis Durbridge.
This ingenious play has more than its fair share of blind alleys with so many possible suspects and motives that the truth seems to elude everyone until the very last moments.
Dalian's publicity secretary Diane Wareham refuses to give even the slightest of clues.
She said: "There are so many twists and turns,
"I'd hate to reveal the plot and give the game away," she says.
This compelling whodunit, set in a country house, stars Jill Richards as Sarah and Mike Tosdevin as her husband Jack, caught up in some dubious property deals that lead to sinister goings-on.
Directed by Terry Gates, who has produced numerous shows for the Dalian Players, this is a must for any mystery and whodunit fans.
Deadly Nightcap is at Woolston Methodist Hall from Thursday to Saturday, April 13. Performances are at 7.30pm.
