THE skills of Isle of Wight rocking horse maker Judy Fergusson are to be appreciated at the 21st International Woodworking Exhibition at Alexandra Palace, London, from February 21 to 24.
Judy, from Totland, is believed to be the only woman in the UK making rocking horses using the laminated technique, and is giving one of her latest stylised designs as a competition prize at the exhibition.
The Arabian horse design is personally signed by Judy, and will be awarded to the person adjudged to have come up with the best name for the item.
As well as making rocking horses, Judy runs workshops and evening classes for people interested in woodworking.
