THE Anvil, Basingstoke, has unveiled an exciting range of acts for the new year.
Almost every kind of music is represented in the new season, with everyone from 60s star Helen Shapiro (of Walkin' Back to Happiness fame) to pop diva Louise testing the acoustics of the theatre.
Other musical treats include concerts by Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, including a Viennese evening, the Sainsbury's Choir of the Year, Fairport Convention and the VIPs of Jazz.
Meanwhile, music and dance combine to spectacular effect in Spirit Of The Dance, at the theatre for two nights in March.
Comedy giants Lee Evans and Jo Brand will also be dropping in to lighten up things, while children will be kept entertained with shows from kids TV favourites Dave Benson-Phillips and The Chuckle Brothers.
Other highlights include Sing-A-Long-A Sound of Music, The Reduced Shakespeare Company's The Bible: The Complete Word of God (Abridged) and Puccini's Tosca. For tickets and information about any show, call the box office on 01256 844244.
