THREE weeks, 700 miles - and not a puncture in sight.
Those are the impressive statistics of fundraising cyclist Martin Miller who covered miles of rugged continental terrain in a bid to raise much-needed charity cash for Fareham's Rainbow Centre.
Although proud of raising £371 by cycling to Spain for the centre that supports families of children with cerebral palsy, the journey wasn't exactly a smooth ride, according to Martin.
He said: "I did suffer with a touch of the old saddle sores. Apart from that I thoroughly enjoyed the trip."
The ride to Bilbao, on the north coast of Spain, wasn't the first epic ride 41-year-old Martin has done and a previous fundraiser saw him cycle to Rome.
He said: "I was in much better shape when I did the last one. I have bought a car since I did it, so found this ride a lot harder going. It was a great to help the Rainbow Centre. Smaller charities often miss out."
Martin, of The Crossways, Gosport, is now looking into riding across Canada to help more charities in the Fareham and Gosport area.
