A HAMPSHIRE couple visited one of the county's top tourist attractions - and returned home with a £14,500 Christmas present.
Kirk and Julie Richardson were invited to the National Motor Museum, Beaulieu, to collect a limited edition car they had won in a raffle.
The Caterham Beaulieu is one of only 40 such vehicles being made by Caterham Cars.
Mr and Mrs Richardson, of Flexford Close, Chandler's Ford, entered the raffle during a visit to the motor museum earlier this year.
Mr Richardson, 37, said: "It was our first trip to Beaulieu.
"We came because our 11-year-old daughter Sophie wanted to take pictures of the cars on show in the James Bond exhibition.
"She kept asking us to take her to the museum, so we've got her to thank for our new vehicle."
Mr Richardson was presented with the gleaming two-seater by Lord Montagu of Beaulieu and representatives from Caterham Cars, based in Caterham, Surrey.
The raffle, staged by the National Motor Museum Trust, was open to everyone who visited the attraction.
Lord Montagu said: "I'm absolutely delighted because the winner is local, which is good for the Daily Echo if nothing else!"
