SOUTHAMPTON Trampoline Club achieved some major successes at the Southern Divisional Schools Trampoline Championships on the Isle of Wight.
In the under-19 girls' championships, not only did Taunton's College take the open team title, but two of their team members, Becki Stanley and Claire Madigan, came first and second respectively in the open individual competition.
Around 40 Southampton TC members represented their schools in either the prestigious open competition or the novice closed competition.
The top two teams and the top three individuals in each category go through to the Zonal Championships to be held on January 27 at Canford School.
Southampton TC qualifiers - U13 girls' open: 2nd Megan deWolf (Charlton House).
U13 boys' open: 1st Joshua Tear (Hamble School).
U15 girls' open: 1st Katie Woodgate (Oaklands School), 2nd Kirsty Madigan (Mountbatten).
U19 boys' open: 2nd Barnaby Daniel (Thornden).
U19 girls' open: 1st Becki Stanley (Taunton's College), 2nd Claire Madigan (Taunton's College).
U11 girls' closed: 1st Jade Holes (Shirley Junior), 2nd Jessica Hodgson (New Forest Small School), 3rd Megan Coakley (Shirley Junior).
U11 boys' closed: 2nd Josh Smith (Braishfield Junior).
U15 boys' closed: 1st Adam Gaunt (Mountbatten School).
U15 girls' closed: 2nd Kate Avery (Wildern School).
U19 boys closed: 1ST Justin Knight (Taunton's College)
Team Results - U13 girls' open: 2nd Regents Park (Mala Donnelly, Samantha Pearson, Carly Bishop & Charley Marie Tracy).
U19 girls' open: 1st Taunton's College (Becki Stanley, Claire Madigan, Nicky Donnelly, Lisa Prowting).
U11 girls' closed: 1st Shirley Junior School (Megan Coakley, Taylor Pearson, Jade Holes).
l Taunton's College under-19 girls' team followed up the Southern Divisional Schools win with victory at the South East Region British Colleges Championships.
No team has ever done the double (British Colleges and English Schools titles) but coach Howard Tear thinks this could be the year.
