BASINGSTOKE swimmers produced excellent results at the Hampshire and South Coast open meet at Waterlooville.
The outstanding performance came from Arran McDougall (pictured), who had a near-perfect competition, winning three gold and two silver medals to take the award for all-round top boy in his age group.
The top-boy prize was decided on each swimmer's best four finishes and the 11-year-old Cranbourne schoolboy achieved the highest overall points score by an impressive margin.
His club head coach Steve Greenfield said: "He only missed total domination of all events by a few hundredths. It's very encouraging to have a swimmer with such all-round ability and a good attitude to training as well."
Two other Basingstoke swimmers achieved top performance awards, Stephanie Clark in the girls' age 14 competition and Michael Hancey, among boys age 14.
Every Basingstoke swimmer who attended the event produced a personal best time in at least one event and most did better.
Individual event winners were: Paul Rickman (50 metres freestyle, 50 breaststroke, 100 individual medley) and Alex Wigmore (50 freestyle, 50 butterfly).
