Southampton are expecting another big crowd for tomorrow's game.

Box office manager David Luker reported that there were still a couple of thousand tickets left for the Sunderland game - which will still be on sale on the day.

With supporters buoyed by last weekend's 4-0 win at Leicester, he reported that there had been a rush on tickets this week. The biggest crowd to date was the 31,198 who attended the last home game - the 1-0 win over Charlton.

"After the win at Leicester, we have seen ticket sales go really well," he said. "We're expecting a crowd of anywhere between 29,000 and 30,000 tomorrow."

There could be a sell-out on Boxing Day for the visit of Tottenham Hotspur - the first time the 32,500-capacity Friends Provident St Mary's Stadium has been sold out.

Tickets are currently on sale for the return of Glenn Hoddle and Dean Richards to the south coast.

They have been on sale to members for ten days now, and to season ticket holders since Wednesday. "We have got about 1,500 left," reported Luker. "However we expected them all to go by the time they are due to go on general sale next Wednesday.

"Everyone is looking forward to Glenn and Dean coming back. It is a big attraction."

It is a similar story for the Leeds game on December 29, which is also likely to be a full house. Members and season ticket holders are expected to take up the entire allocation before tickets go on general sale.

The "sold out" signs have already gone up for the visit to Manchester United a week tomorrow. All 1,900 tickets allocated to Saints fans have been snapped up.

Tickets for the January 9 game with Liverpool went on sale to members on December 13 and will be available to season ticket holders on December 20.
