POLICE have warned that youngsters are putting people's lives at risk by hurling items from bridges in Andover.
In the latest incident a number of eggs were thrown from a footbridge in King Arthur's Way shortly before 6.25pm on Monday, striking a bus as it was passing underneath.
Nobody was hurt but police warn that an accident could have been caused.
Pc Ted Reynolds said: "This is stupid. All it would take is for the driver to overreact to cause an accident, putting passengers' lives at risk. Parents should be aware that this is going on."
Two weeks ago an object was thrown from a bridge over the A343 Churchill Way West. Considerable damage was caused to the bonnet of a vehicle but nobody was hurt.
The recent incidents follow on from similar activities during the summer months, when police first warned lives could be put at risk.
