SHIPTON Bellinger's very own wonder woman, Mrs Hilda Evans, received the best bus pass ever on her birthday from the Wilts and Dorset travel company.
Mrs Evans celebrated her 101st birthday with a passenger ticket from the bus company which allows her to roam totally free across the Wilts and Dorset bus routes.
Her first journey was on a specially chartered bus, driven by the bus company's operations manager, Paul Hartigan from her home in Parkhouse Road to the village pub The Boot Inn where she was celebrating with family members.
Mrs Evans is known far and wide for her enthusiastic and energetic lifestyle which allows her to make weekly bus journeys on her own to Salisbury where she enjoys a game of bingo.
Next door neighbour, Emily Macginn thought Hilda will probably make her first visit for years to Andover market using her VIP bus pass.
