A gold ring thousands of years old was discovered by a metal detector in a field near Winchester.
Keith Hutchings, of West End, Southampton, came across the Middle Bronze Age ring at Warnford in May.
A treasure trove inquest in Winchester heard that it was believed to date to 1300-1100 BC and would not have been worn on the finger but as an ornament around the neck.
Central Hampshire deputy coroner, Simon Burge, decided that the find was treasure.
He came to the same conclusion about a 17th-century silver thimble similarly found by Michael Gilham, also of West End, in a field near Bishop's Waltham in March.
Winchester City Council finds liaison officer, Sally Worrel,l told the coroner it was no less than 300 years old.
It had both the initials of the original owner and the original craftsman.
