BOURNEMOUTH LODGE duo Chris Albiston and Steve Hemmings have just had a fantastic weekend.

They ran away with the pairs match at Tony Beeny's Wytherington Farm and followed it up with a first and second in the 70 peg Christchurch AC Christmas Match on the Dorset Stour, with Albiston winning both matches.

In the pairs match, Albiston won the match with 40lb of carp on the pole and corn over pellet on the outer circuit of Topmoor, consisting of 18 carp to 3lb.

Hemmings finished third in his section on the inner circuit with 14lb 4oz which gave them a total of 38 section points.

Davis Tackle's veterans Mickey Maid-ment and Terry Hiscock continued their phenomenal season finishing second with 36 points, with Downton brothers Ian and Lee Goodfellow third with 35 points.

Individually, Homestores Select's Gra-ham Tappenden finished second with 38lb 6oz of carp from the outer circuit, with Lee Goodfellow third with 37lb 8oz and Poingdestres' Dave Pool fourth with 35lb.

In the Christchurch Christmas Match, Albiston took 21lb 12oz of roach and dace on the stick float and maggot from Iford to beat Hemmings, who had 17lb 4oz of dace and roach from the nutbush on the pony fields.

Mickey Dean was third with 16lb 4oz of dace also from the pony fields, and Dave George (Dorset Raiders) fourth with 13lb 8oz of chub and dace from Manor Farm.

Cormorants fished a club match on the inner circuit on Wytherington Farm which saw a clear cut victory for Poindestres' Steve Pomery who took 17 small carp on maggot and pole from peg 59.

Speed Andrews finished second with two good size carp and a few bits and pieces for 15lb 8oz with Simon Hambridge (Dynamite Baits) third with three carp for 10lb 8oz, other J Banks 8lb 3oz.

TVAC held a club match on the Blackwater, with the hard overnight frost taking the edge off the sport. Mick Small needed just 7lb 1oz of small roach and dace from the end peg at Nutsey on stick float and maggot to win from Andy West who had 5lb 15oz of roach and dace also from Nutsey. Kev Downer finished third with 5lb 6oz from Gradiges stretch with a tie for fourth between Maurie Townsend and Cliff Carbis who both had 5lb 3oz.
